THE ARCHITECTURE OF TASTE
A creative dining concept that explores the intersectionality of architecture and cuisine. A study of how architecture forms and influences a cuisine and the perceptions of taste, where taste is the sensory underdog in any experience of architecture; intangible and therefore overlooked. Questioning what experience and emotions it would elicit to perceive both food and space at the same time.
Through four editions, the concept has prompted explorations of the Italian Architecture of 19th-century Egyptian Taste, the foundational pillars of design that inform both architecture & gastronomy, the impact of local art on modern culinary culture & finally a century of Egyptian arts, cuisine, and hospitality, as featured in AD Middle East.
